چکیده

In the present study, CoAl-NO3 Layered Double Hydroxides (CoAl-NO3-LDH) was synthesized and an enolate anion of 4-Aminoacetophenone (AAP) intercalated into LDH following reconstruction approach. The CoAl-NO3-LDH CoAl-AAP-LDH were characterized by Fourier-Transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM) energy dispersive (EDX) analyses. worked well for adsorption Cd(II) ions from aqueous samples at optimum pH 7, adsorbent dosage 25 mg, concentration mg L-1 shaking time 20 min °C. Different isotherms such as Langmuir, Freundlich Dubinin-Radushkevich (D-R) fitted to data with correlation coefficient (R2) 0.998, 0.982 0.992, respectively. Monolayered (Qm) multi-layered (KF) capacities calculated found be 34.40 19.44 g-1, Sorption 9.13 kJ mol-1, indicating chemisorption or ion exchange sorption mechanism. method wastewater samples.

Synthesis ratios of Mg-Al and Zn-Al layered double hydroxides efficiency and selectivity in nitrate removal from solution

Four diverse chlorides layered double hydroxides with diverse ratios, i.e. Mg-Al (3:1), Mg-Al (4:1), Zn-Al (4:1), and Zn-Al (3:1) LDHs, were prepared to evaluate their efficiency and selectivity towards nitrate removal from aquatic solutions. A batch experiment was done at the initial nitrate concentration of 5-1000 mg/L, pH 5 to 12, and contact time of 5-180 min. Isotherms of nitrate adsorptio...

Ab initio Investigation of Layered Double Hydroxides with Intercalated Herbicides

Layered double hydroxides (LDHs) or hydrotalcite-like compounds exist either as naturally occurring minerals or as synthesized materials by low-cost synthesis methods. LDHs consist of positively charged metal hydroxide layers having the composition [M1–x Mx(OH)2][Ax/m ·nH2O] where M and M are divalent and trivalent cations, respectively. The value of x is the molar fraction and can vary between...

Adsorptive desulfurization of oil derivatives using nanostructured Mg-Al layered double hydroxides: Experimental design and modeling

This study focuses on the application of nanostructured Mg-Al layered double hydroxide as a promising adsorbent in desulfurization of dibenzothiophene, an aromatic sulfur bearing compound from gasoil model. The Mg-Al LDH was synthesized by a co-precipitation method and characterized by FT-IR, XRD, EDX and SEM. The XRD and FT-IR approved the layered structure and crystalline form of the adsorben...

Photocatalytic O-2 evolution from water over Zn-Cr layered double hydroxides intercalated with inorganic anions

Zn-Cr layered double hydroxides (LDHs) intercalated with inorganic anions (CO3, Cl, SO4 and NO3) were synthesized by the co-precipitation method and the anion exchange process. The photocatalytic activity of the LDHs was studied by O2 evolution from aqueous solution of AgNO3 as a sacrificial agent. All the prepared LDHs showed photocatalytic activity under either UV and/or visible light irradia...
